Message from the President
I am honored to serve as the President of the “Fabulous” Flint Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. I am extremely proud of the rich history that the Flint Chapter has cultivated for 55 years. The Flint Chapter has embraced the national program theme, “The Power to Make a Difference”. Just as our National President Joli Cooper Nelson seeks to have Jack and Jill of America, Inc. make a difference on a national level, we too, continue to make a difference in the Flint Community.
The Flint Chapter has set a high standard of quality programming year after year. The 2017-18 Program Year is another year the Flint Chapter has much to be proud of. Our mothers, fathers and children have made a difference by volunteering at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and the North End Soup Kitchen; planting flowers in Downtown Flint and local senior citizen homes; ringing the Salvation Army bell; hosting a water station for the Crim Festival of Races and a host of other activities.
Additionally, we instill in our children the important benefit and purpose of philanthropy. Our philanthropic arm allows us to reach out and touch our community by providing academic scholarships, donating a therapeutic IV wagon to Hurley Children’s Hospital, supporting the Beecher Athletic Booster Club, donating water during the Flint Water Crisis and supporting the Jack and Jill of America Foundation.
We will continue to strive to provide phenomenal programming as we embrace our
national thrusts to cultivate and enhance leadership in all children as we provide
children with constructive, financial, educational, cultural, civic, recreational,
legislative and monthly social programs.
Let’s Work, Let’s Play, Let’s Live Together!
Yours in Jack and Jill,
Erica Beavers, President
